SharePoint Newsfeed App Reviews

Crashes

Every time I go to sign in, the app crashes. I restarted my phone and no change.

Unusable

Cant sign in. Although I can sign in with third party SP apps? Learn your own protocol, Microsoft.

Typical Microsoft crap

This app never loads and is what people have come to expect from Microsoft. Dont bother.

The app still crashes before a successful login, even deleting and reinstalling and restarting the iPad... Hopefully it will be fixed soon! Update: Same issue still exists. I know it recognizes the Sharepoint URL, because if I intentionally type in the wrong username, the app gives me a username error. But, when I use the correct login credentials, the app crashes every. single. time.

Total fail

What did I expect? Crash on login. I immediately deleted the app. I can not tell our sales team to use this app, they would lose their minds. Too bad because I spent months setting up Sharepoint for file sharing across multiple departments in house but MS refuses to support the iPads out in the field. We will build our own or get something else.

Needs push notifications

Downloaded as our company is exploring using this service and after many attempts finally got into the app only to discover there are no push notifications available. Whole purpose of trying to use the newsfeed feature was to cut down on emails.

Just crashes continuously at setup

Would give zero stars if possible. Total waste of time

well

unfortunately this app is a complete train wreck. its a shame, it couldve been so useful.

Needs improvement

Good and useful app- on the go. Disappointed because its still not compatible for iPhone 6 and 6 plus, the stretched screen. MS can do better.

Needs iOS notification support!

This app would be SO useful to our company if it supported notifications within iOS. Developer: please include this functionality in next release for a five star review!

They failed to hit the tee ball.

This was such an easy thing to hit out of the park. Especially with the Facebook IP to steal from. No push notifications. The post button is hard to activate. Navigation is somewhat confusing. No updates. No changes. Abandon ware.

Come on!!!

Although Microsoft has made great strides in their application rollouts (i.e.: Excel, Word, Outlook...assuming they can allow for font changes and HTML signatures in the future for Apple users), but this app is apparently their red headed step child. I wish I could tell you about the push notifications and user interface, but I cant log on to my SharePoint to test it as the app crashes on each attempt to open. Do yourself a favor and dont download this app until it gets a COMPLETE overhaul. Simply do as I did and bookmark your SharePoint on your Safari. Im sure Microsoft will keep making strides and will eventually get it right, but until then...this app is trash.

the app doesnt work!

the app doesnt work. Always errors out. I am a SharePoint SME n i know what i am doing.

Disappointing

Would love to have more access and a user friendly app. This looks like poo

Doesnt work at all

On iOS 9.1 and unable to get past the login screen without the app crashing

Need Negative Star Rating

Crashes before login every time.

Poorly thought to out and rushed

Although the world has been waiting for improved mobile access to sharepoint, this is a poor attempt at missing the point. There are two parts to how people might like to see access sharepoint outside of a browser. 1) Access to page driven shared departmental content and documents. 2) Social or community driven content delivered through sharepoint hosted intranets. If this is an attempt to offer access to the more social side of sharepoint its an epic fail! The situation is somewhat hampered by Microsofts obsessive preoccupation with provisioning through web technology! (Browsers can be recourse hogs relative to overuse and do have their limitations) Yes I see the flexibility of a browser platform, but why bother with this if it keeps jumping to Safari! Embed the web content at least! I would like to see Microsoft do more with delivering mobile access to both aspects of sharepoint, business process and social intranet wise, maybe as separate apps.

another Microsoft failure

dont waste your time on this app ... totally useless... kind of expect this kind of crap from MS.... cmon hire some decent programmers and dont roll out subpar or crappy apps that dont function at all
