Poorly thought to out and rushed

Although the world has been waiting for improved mobile access to sharepoint, this is a poor attempt at missing the point.
There are two parts to how people might like to see access sharepoint outside of a browser.
1) Access to page driven shared departmental content and documents.
2) Social or community driven content delivered through sharepoint hosted intranets.
If this is an attempt to offer access to the more social side of sharepoint its an epic fail!

The situation is somewhat hampered by Microsofts obsessive preoccupation with provisioning through web technology! (Browsers can be recourse hogs relative to overuse and do have their limitations) Yes I see the flexibility of a browser platform, but why bother with this if it keeps jumping to Safari! Embed the web content at least!

I would like to see Microsoft do more with delivering mobile access to both aspects of sharepoint, business process and social intranet wise, maybe as separate apps.
